Yes – In many cases. Since NorthPoint’s network is similar in many ways to Mpower’s in that they use Copper Mountain Customer Premise Equipment, you will be able to retain use of that equipment and have it supported by Mpower as well. Where the equipment is incompatible, Mpower will supply new equipment. It should also be noted that unlike NorthPoint, Mpower customers do not have to pay for the DSL Modem up front, the modem is included as part of the service offering. Customer’s wishing to use a Router would need to incur additional costs to cover the router.
