Can I use the rebate program tools if I didn’t elect to participate during benefits enrollment?
Yes. You are encouraged to use any of the program tools and features, but will not be eligible to earn the $150 rebates in 2011 if you did not elect to participate during annual enrollment. If I am a new employee in 2011, or first elect to participate in an IBM medical plan in the middle of 2011, can I elect to participate in the Physical Activity-Nutrition Rebate, Personal Vitality Rebate, or Children’s Health Rebate programs? No. These rebates can only be selected during the fall annual enrollment period. New hires, however, elect to participate in the New Hire Healthy Living Rebate program during their initial benefits enrollment period.
