Can I use the Predator to diagnose (scan and run live data) on my friends car?

Yes. For diagnostics, Predator doesn’t lock itself to any vehicle, you are free to use it on as many vehicles as you wish. Note: Predator is not a complete OBDII diagnostic tool, meaning it doesn’t communicate to all vehicles in the parking lot. If you own a Predator for Ford, you can diagnose all OBDII compliant Fords. If you own a Predator for GM, you can diagnose all OBDII compliant GMs. The reason is that Ford and GM has different hardware interface.
