Can I use the OfficeReady Photo Editor to edit photos that I have inserted into Word in the “traditional” manner?

A. Yes. However, first note that images inserted by OfficeReady are actually treated as “objects” and not as “pictures” – which is how Word treats them. OfficeReady inserts them as a specific object format called “OfficeReady Photo Object”. To insert an editable picture without using OfficeReady, you would need to select Insert, Object and then select OfficeReady Photo Object as the object type. This will create a new “Image Socket” that will then use the Photo Editor.
