Can I use the MAHA C-777 charger to recharge and condition individual NiMH or NiCAD “AA” battery cells ?
A1: Yes, but depending on how many cells you will be charging, you will need to obtain ( purchased as an optional item ) either a four, six, eight or ten cell battery holder ( shown below ) to hold the cells while charging. Basically you will be creating a battery pack and the holder must be full in order to charge the batteries. If you purchase a four cell holder, all four batteries must be present in order to charge them . That is why it is a four cell battery holder. Also you cannot charge only four batteries in a six cell holder. A holder must be full in order to complete the circuit. You can then proceed to charge the “AA” batteries using the CLIP LEAD that we now include at no additional extra cost. We felt the Clip Lead would make the C-777 charger easier to use for those of you charging individual batteries and will prevent the pack from losing contact on some battery holders not obtained from us. The picture to the right shows six “AA” batteries being recharged by the C-777 ch
