Yes, the license manager and SELECTserver Deployment (SSD) are independent functions. To attain maximum benefit of centralized software administration both licensing and distribution should be jointly addressed. However if the administrator has an alternative or preferred method for software deployment it can be used without compromising the license manager in any way.
