Can I use the inert gas cover directly for evaporation after synthesis?

Yes, this is possible. However, for a direct evaporation without changing the inert gas module against a glass plate, it is important that the septa of the Inert gas cover are not leaking. A replacement set of 25 septa can be ordered with the order no. 40867. Furthermore, it is not possible to observe the vapor zone inside the Vacum cover when using an Inert gas cover. Recommendation: For compounds which are highly sensitive against oxygen, water or other environmental factors it is recommended to evaporate samples directly without changing the inert glas module against a glass plate.
