Can I use the Bilko software for other applications than ocean and coastal remote sensing?

Yes Bilko has been developed primarily for ocean and coastal remote sensing, but the image processing routines can also be used for other application areas. The software does not have a digital elevation module (DEM) so geometric correction of land data may be problematic if the terrain is hilly. With one or two exceptions (RA-2 altimeter data, USGS MapGen format) Bilko is not suitable for proecessing vector data.
