The AxeTrak is designed to handle 75 watts rms but that does not mean that you cannot use a 1000 watt amp as long as the master is turned down. Unlike guitar where most players are trying to crank their amps for that ultimate sweet tone, most bass players have huge power amps so that their tone is clean without distortion. Many of our users use 300 to 750 watt bass amps but just set them so that the LED on the AxeTrak just begins to illuminate. This only requires about 15-20 watts to illuminate.
