No. Besides the possibility of vignetting, the thread on this lens (and its counterpart Canon teleconverter for the S2) is extra long with an unthreaded portion on the end which eliminates the possibility of threading it into anything but the Canon or Lensmate 58mm adapter. Also, remember that though this lens works well at the full wide setting, the zoom lens will crash into its rear element if fully zoomed to telephoto, possibly damaging it.
