Can I use Skype over ResNet?
We have heard reports that it does work, although we’ve not checked for ourselves the extent of the functionality. If you do use Skype then please turn it off when you are not making a call. If you do not do this, Skype will generally decide that a computer on a high speed connection such as yours would be ideal for routing traffic for lots of other Skype users, even those off cmapus. This results in an excess of traffic on our network and to the webcaches, which causes poor web browsing and other network performance for everyone. This may result in disconnection of your computer from ResNet for violating the Acceptable Use Policy, and a refund may not be offered.
