Can I use PowerKey products with a UPS/battery back-up device?

In some cases, yes. UPS manufacturers generally recommend you do not plug power strips or any device into your UPS which contains surge protection as it may conflict with the battery power output and possibly shorten the life of the battery. PowerKey Pro Model 600 and Model 650 do not contain any surge protection and can be plugged directly into an outlet on a UPS device. However, both “Classic” PowerKey and PowerKey Pro Model 200 contain surge protection which may not be compatible. You should check with your UPS manufacturer for their recommendations.
