OXtender for Plesk can be used in any hosting environment as long as there is a centralized administration authority managing all hosting servers. This happens because OXtender can connect to the Open-Xchange infrastructure using a single set of credentials. Usually this does not work for dedicated hosting, because you do not want to share the Open-Xchange administrator password with your customers. OXtender for Plesk can be used with shared hosting servers in most cases. This limitation is going to be addressed in Q2 2010.
