The PowerShot Pro70 is the first PowerShot to feature a hotshoe for flash units. Canon recomends the Speedlite 220EX and 380EX units be used, and so far these are the only models that successfully work with the exposure metering of the camera. Other flash units – including Canon’s – do not work with the E-TTL flash metering, and only give maximum flash output.
