• Only on a limited basis, as we have not applied for a Performance Characteristics Sheet. The device – while very accurate – does not meet HUD’s guidelines for compliant residential paint inspections. Further, the instrument would require a lead paint calibration separate from Painted Products Mode. If you need to test lead-based paint and screen consumer goods with one instrument, we recommend the Thermo Scientific Niton XLp 305A or 306A XRF analyzer.
