Can I use my ice maker and water dispenser without the through-the-grill water filter installed?
Yes, the filter is not mandatory to have in the product and you can remove it. The housing the filter goes into consists of a by-pass valve and all you need to do is to turn the filter counter clockwise to remove. You don’t need the filter in the housing to use the water dispenser and icemake, however, if the filter is removed, the water will not be filtered.
