Yes with two caveats. If you use a POP (Post Office Protocol) client like Outlook Express, Netscape Communicator, Eudora, etc. your e-mail will not be backed up by the Exchange system. You will be responsible for backing up and restoring any e-mail in case your PC fails. In addition your e-mail may not be accessible from multiple locations (e.g. home and work). The new system will also support IMAP clients. The other problem will be that the CSUDH Help Desk will only be supporting Outlook 2000 and Outlook Express. We will be supplying all of the information that you will need to use the e-mail client of your choice.
