Can i use my drivers instruction permit?
Depends on your state. I Georgia, for instance, any license issued to someone under 21 is prominently labeled “UNDER 21” in big red letters. Most clerks would not sell you alcohol, even if you pointed out the date to them. And don’t blame the clerks, it can cost them their job or even jail time if they sell to someone underage. Forgive them for being cautious. If, on the other hand, your instruction permit does not have an obvious flag on it,, the DOB should be sufficient. You say it’s a photo ID, that’s a real plus.
