The BroadVoice service includes free voicemail. So, an answering machine is not necessary. If you prefer to use an answering machine, remember to turn off your BroadVoice voicemail feature by accessing the BroadVoice Account Portal. The default setting for voicemail is ‘on’ when you first activate your BroadVoice service.
