Only if your 56K modem conforms to the new V.90 standard. Please check with your modem manufacturer to determine whether or not your current modem is V.90 compatible and if not, whether a software upgrade to the V.90 standard is available. If not, and y our modem is not x2 compatible, you will need to purchase a new modem to approach 56k speeds.
