Can I use mp3 files as soundtracks for my Videodelic projects?

Not directly. But QuickTime 4 makes it possible to convert mp3 files into files that can be used as soundtracks by Videodelic (in the Montage Room). The reason is simple. While mp3 files take up very little hard disk space, they are CPU-intensive to decode. Therefore they are not suitable for using directly with Videodelic. You can use the QuickTime player (and many freeware utilities) to convert mp3 files into AIFF files. Videodelic uses 16-bit, 44.1 kHz SoundDesigner II files for Montage Room soundtracks. Videodelic automatically creates a SoundDesigner II format copy of AIFF files chosen as soundtracks.
