Referred to as Drainline Carry, recent research has scientifically proven that even without other water flow (from showers and sinks) six litre toilets can carry waste in both residential and commercial situations. Six litre toilets carry waste even when drainlines are sloped less than what is required under the National Plumbing code. Those claiming that low water use toilets do not carry waste sufficiently through the waste water system have little scientific claim. Most documented claims of problems with Drainline Carry can be attributed to the toilet performance itself. Since six litre toilets have come out on the market they have been redesigned and many work very well.
