Can I use Linguistics 1 for the GE arts & humanities requirement even though it counts for my major?

Yes. This course can be used for either the arts & humanities requirement or the social sciences requirement. It does not matter that it also counts for the major. Other courses that may be used for the arts & humanities GE requirement are Linguistics 150 (formerly 50) and Linguistics 106.
