I’d prefer that you didn’t use Javascript. It’s not entirely reliable in the Forum environment. Some simple, self contained scripts which would normally be contained entirely within your HTML document’s body appear to work. Scripts which call to functions may not work. It’s best to avoid scripts altogether. You really don’t need them here.
