Currently, clinical experience hours may be earned through a child life internship, fellowship or paid work experience. Hours worked as a child life assistant are only accepted if they meet the requirements set forth on the second page of the Clinical Experience Verification Form, are documented on the same form, and signed by a CCLS who meets the pertinent requirements. However, all applicants for the fall 2012 and subsequent exam administrations MUST complete either an internship or fellowship. Beginning with the fall 2012 exam administration, paid work experience will NOT be accepted to meet the clinical experience requirement.
