Can I use hand lotion under or over Bio-Safe® Skin Shield™ lotion?
You can use hand lotion under Bio-Safe® Skin Shield™ lotion, but it isn’t necessary unless you have very dry skin. Bio-Safe® Skin Shield™ lotion is Vitamin E and Glycerin enriched, so it will moisturize as it protects. The polymer coating also helps the skin retain the natural oils, thus softening the skin tissue. If you do apply a hand lotion first, be sure it is fully dry before applying Bio-Safe® Skin Shield™ lotion, and use a lotion that does not cause irritation because it will be ‘locked’ onto your skin for up to 6 hours. Using hand lotion over Bio-Safe® Skin Shield™ lotion makes no sense since it will not penetrate the barrier to moisturize your hands.
