Can i use fin rot alongside white spot treatment for a tropical fish tank?
No. Clean up the ich first. Fin rot is not caused by another fish it is caused by poor water conditions. Fin rot can be cleared up without meds by keeping your tank clean and disease free. Using too many meds in the tank at one time can kill off the beneficial bacteria causing bacteria bloom and other water problems. Ich is more serious and should be treated first. Keep the tank clean. Once that is cleared up, if you feel you should treat the injured fish then do so. You want to keep the stress of your fish as low as possiable when treating for any disease or parasite.
