Can I use FaktorTel with a wireless broadband service?
Due to the low-bandwidth of many wireless services, FaktorTel cannot guarentee that the service will work over a wireless broadband connection. However, our experience with the wireless broadband offerings by Vodafone, 3 etc are that they work ok with a FaktorTel phone IF the connection itself is of sufficient quality to support a two-way phone conversation. This can most easily be determined by assessing the quality of your mobile reception at the location you wish to use VoIP over wireless. Better phone reception means better wireless internet speeds, which means more chance that VoIP will work on the connection. We strongly recommend that customers with wireless broadband test the service first using a free account before signing up, to ensure their Internet connection is of sufficient speed to support VoIP.
