Can I use Eppendorf micro test tubes for my application, pyridine with an additive of 5 g/l C4H9B(OH)2?
“The most important material in this inquiry is pyridine. Our tubes are conditionally resistant to this. Conditionally means: resistant between 10 min and several hours at 20 to 50 °C, possibly even for several weeks. The second substance, butyl borate or butane boron acid, is rare and was not tested by us. It is used in a relatively low concentration, and we therefore don’t imagine that the substance would attack our tubes.
