Can I use energyXT as a VSTi to play soundfonts in Tracktion?
A – ceenda, SWTrex – Just add an energyXT VSTi to a tracktion channel. Inside eXT, right click to add in a “Sampler” component, open it up. Using the file browser (F3, or the “Browser” button), search out your soundfont files. You’ll be able to expand them in the browser just like directories. Drag the “Preset” you want into the Sampler. You’re good to go. Be careful with large soundfonts though. At the moment eXT still saves all the sample data with it, so you may notice large file sizes. But for drums etc. it’s great. Especially with multi-out. You could also wrap eXT in a Rack and control a whole number of different samples with different MIDI channels.
