Can I use Discoverer Plus to open workbooks created in Discoverer Desktop?
With Discoverer, it does not matter where your workbooks were created. Any workbooks created using Discoverer Plus run in Discoverer Desktop without modification, and vice-versa. Workbooks created in Discoverer Plus or Discoverer Desktop are immediately available in Discoverer Viewer. Workbooks created in either Discoverer Plus or Desktop can be added to a portal page using the Discoverer Portlet Provider, further leveraging Oracle Application Server’s integrated business intelligence capabilities. Discoverer reports can be exported and opened by Oracle Reports, fully preserving the original query and formatting. All this can be achieved without the intervention of IT personnel or an administrator.
