Apart from what you hear advertised, many refineries share the same distribution pipelines and trucking companies, they trade gasolines based on inventories and market conditions, buy gasolines refined overseas or anything that the spot market will allow. Gasoline is basically all the same and you have been using many brands. They all have to meet API specifications and everything else is just hype and advertising.
