Can I use credit cards or cheques in the shops and restaurants?
You can use Sterling cash (GBP), credit or debit cards, and GBP Traveller’s cheques. However, we do not accept personal or business cheques. The cards we accept are Mastercard, Visa and Maestro. We regret we are unable to accept Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Delta, American Express, Diners Club or Solo cards. The minimum spend when using cards is £5. Purchases above certain amounts will require a telephone call for authorisation; this is no reflection on you and we would ask for your co-operation in this matter.
