Yes but some sound cards are better than others with respect to their Window’s driver, bandwidth, noise floor, and distortion. We resell several different manufacturers’ sound cards with our software that we have thoroughly tested and calibrated to guarantee our system specifications. For an additional fee, we can sell a complete system with a certificate of conformance that is traceable to National Bureau of Standards and is ISO 9000 certified. Window’s driver: Some sound cards do not have a repeatable latency or delay between Record and Play. This makes it difficult to measure phase and high frequencies. SoundCheck has an auto delay feature found in the Analysis Editor that can be used to measure the sound card’s delay as well as any delay in the measurement chain (e.g. the time delay due to the physical distance that sound must travel from the loudspeaker to the measurement microphone).
