Can I use an inkjet printer with Bar Code Pro graphics?
Bar Code Pro uses EPS as its default file format. In order to properly print Bar Code Pro EPS files, you MUST use a PostScript printer. Most inkjet printers (such as Epson printers) are NOT PostScript capable. Also, not all laser printers are PostScript capable. Be sure to check your printer user manual to verify that your printer is PostScript capable. Printing a Bar Code Pro EPS file on a non-PostScript printer will ruin the bar code. WINDOWS USERS: If your printer is not PostScript capable, go to Bar Code Pro’s Symbol menu and switch the Format to WMF (Windows Meta File). WMF files can be printed on both PostScript and non-PostScript printers. DO NOT change the file name to WMF in the Save As window as this will not change the format. You must change the format from within the Symbol menu to create WMF files. NOTE: WMF format is not supported by the Mac version of Bar Code Pro.
