Can I use an image downloaded from the web on one of PrintBell’s products?
Bell: The simple answer is NO for two reasons: (1) Images downloaded from the web are typically low resolution (less than 100 dpi) and thus not suitable for commercial printing. Unless the image is large enough that it can be shrunk to a size reflecting a close to 300 dpi(see the question on resolution), it is not advisable to use such images. For example, if you reduce the dimensions of a typical 72 dpi web image to about 25% of its original size, you will now have an image at about 288 dpi resolution which will appear sharp in commercial offset printing (see resolution question). After you upload an image, if our system indicates that your image is of low resolution, it may look OK on your monitor but will print blurry. (2) Most images on the World Wide Web are protected by copyright laws and thus might be prohibited from use in distributable products such as business cards or greeting cards. PrintBell will not be legally liable for any images uploaded by users on any of its products
