Although an EGT s reading may give you an indication of richness or leanness, it is, by nature, a slow-responding device and should not be used as the main air/fuel ratio-metering device. Accurate air/fuel ratio monitoring devices that are reliable start from $1200.00 on up. Any other air/fuel ratio meter should NOT be relied upon.
