Can i use aloe vera gel on my tummy to reduce stretch marks?
First, congrats on your upcoming blessing. To avoid stretch marks during preganancy constantly keep your skin/tummy moisturized with any creme or oil that you like and continue with the massage. That is good for circulation although most people don’t realize its benefits, and it’s free. Shea butter is excellent. Use that along with the aloe vera. The key is to do so constantly, morning and night and especially after you have a round tummy when the skin gets tight. After pregnancy, continue with moisturizing only use a product that is designed to minimize discoloration. The best products are those with licorice, onion derivatives, and other botanicals. Those with hydroquinone work over a long period of time to even out the color, but some women prefer not to use them. Do your research on the internet with regard to products and ingredients, but do not fall for the sales pitches. An over the counter product purchased at a chain drugstore may be as effective as an expensive product in loc
If you’re going to get stretch marks, you’re going to get them. If you’re not going to get them, you won’t. Your skin’s elasticity determines whether or not you get stretch marks. They happen when your skin stretches past its point of elasticity and becomes damaged after that. No amount or type of lotion or gel will prevent them if your skin stretches past its point of elasticity. The only thin lotions will do is help with the dry skin and some itchiness.
The main ingredient you need to keep stretch marks at bay is Vitamin E. Aloe Vera gel won’t really work. Most mothers will recommend Palmers Cocoa Butter and/or Bio Oil. Don’t forget to do your boobs, bum and upper thighs, you still get stretch marks there too. Lastly, if you’re going to get stretch marks then you’re going to get them, and though oils and creams help, nothing will stop them completely if you’re going to get them. With my first born I didn’t get any and was very proud of myself, however with my second, despite constantly slathering on oils and creams, i still got them, and have to live with them. Hopefully, you’ll be lucky!
