Can I use AddressBook and Google Sync at the same time?
If your phone uses Android 1.6, we recommend that you also use Google Sync for contact lists of fewer than 500 contacts. However, if you have more than 500 contacts, we strongly recommend disabling Google Contact Sync. With large numbers of contacts, and as of the 1.6 Android release, Google Contact Sync can interfere with and slow down AddressBook’s MixIn installation and auto-matching processes, as well as the use of your AddressBook web account to manage contacts. You can disable Google Contact Sync in your phone by tapping ‘Settings > Data Synchronization’ and unchecking the Contacts option. Note: We are currently working with Google to add programmatic support on Android to pause Google Sync in the future so AddressBook can be fully compatible.
