Although, both the IN-182A P/N 066-3084-32 and IN-182A P/N 066-3084-00 or 3614078-8201 all use the same connector, it is not recommended to interchange these indicators. The IN-182A P/N 066-3084-32 and -33 have a selection for VP mode. This mode provides a vertical scan of weather. The sensor compatible (RS-181A) with the IN-182A must have VP capability as well. If a VP (-32/33) IN-182A is used with a non-VP (-00) RS-181A, then theoretically you will have a button on the radar indicator that does not perform as expected. This could be confusing to the pilot. In addition, using a VP indicator with non-VP sensor is not a true RDS-82 system of any type thus possibly creating certification issues.
