Can I use a U.S. Britax car seat in Canada?

0

A. Britax child seats for the U.S. market do not meet the requirements of Transport Canada. While the design is the same, the U.S. product is not properly marked for distribution in Canada. As well, weight and height limitations differ between the U.S. and Canadian markets. In accordance with Transport Canada regulations, the product must be marked with the appropriate National Safety Mark. The U.S. products will not carry this mark. For U.S. visitors traveling from the United States to Canada, use of the U.S. product is permissible while visiting Canada. However, use of the U.S. product by Canadian caregivers can result in penalties and fines, as determined by provincial law.
