Can I use a solar hot water system to provide space heating for my home?
The systems currently on offer under Tesco Renewable Energy will not be sufficient to provide space heating on their own, however it is possible to expand the system in the future to meet the higher demands and a technical assessment would be required to make sure your property is suitable. There is 5 times more sun energy in the warmest months of summer than in the coldest months of winter and the majority of the energy received is during the period April to September so current systems would be insufficient to be used for space heating when required in the winter months.
