A side-stream system only sees 10-20% of system flow, 80-90% of solids flow past a side-stream system. Because the purpose of eductors is to keep solids from settling, we do not recommend adding eductors to a tower unless a separator system is connected independently to the tower protecting against solids entering the circulation piping.
