I don’t believe Verizon phones are sim card based, so I would think that this would eliminate this option. Companies like TMobile and AT&T are sim card based, so they may be the best option.

You cannot use a different SIM card in Verizon phones. They make it so that you can only use the phone for Verizon service only.. I know, it does suck!
