Can I use a P.O. Box, or a Virtual Office solution as my business mailing address?

No you can not. DNB, Experian Business, Equifax Business, Trans Union Business, and ALL of the creditors have access to the U.S. Postal Service and can look up any address to determine what kind of listing it is, i.e.: residential, commercial, virtual office, etc. The real issue is that having a P.O. Box or any address where you do not actually do business can make your business look less legitimate. Anyone can pay for a P.O. Box or Virtual Office even if you don’t have a business. Therefore, the creditors and credit bureaus will look at this as a possibly fraudulent company. In fact, no creditor will accept a business application if it shows a P.O. Box and they will automatically decline the application even if it is a P.O. Box with a Suite number instead of a box number. As stated above, they can access the Postal Services database and know what type of listing it is even if it reads as a physical address.
