Can I use a netbook instead of a laptop?

No. Netbooks are tempting because they are cheaper and lighter than laptops, but they are not replacements for laptops. You (usually) can’t run Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Inspiration on netbooks, and you cannot install software for creating digital videos or other media that will be required during your program. While netbooks are quite capable for reading e-mail and surfing the web, they cannot perform the tasks that you will need to perform in the School of Education.
