No. Bullet proof glass is made from Laminated Polycarbonate and often goes by the brand name of Lexan, Tuffack, or Cyrolon. Also, some bathroom shower doors are made from similar materials to prevent shattering if broken. Unfortunately, doors made from this material will absorb moisture and etch the glass, making it extremely difficult to clean. What if the hard water does not come off the glass? This will indicate the problem goes beyond simple mineral build-up. You most likely have etched the glass, which is not good.
