You can of course use Linksys for your wireless connection but you need to check first because your 2wire might be a modem/router that also have wireless capability. The issue of having a modem(especially if the modem that you were provided was a modem and a router) and a router separated is that you have to configure a lot of things and if you are not very techy, doing this can be very frustrating because this can cause you to lose your connection from time to time. And everytime you lose your connection, you have to call tech support for help causing you to spend time and money. Why money? Money because if you cant do it yourself, so the possiblity to have your issue solved is to get a local tech or call your ISP’s tech support (which can be free, but would only support you what they’ve provided you.
