Yes. SiliconDVR supports independent dual monitor support for full-screen viewing on an out-board monitor independent of the main interface. This way a video village feed for the director can be accomplished using a full-resolution HD display (up to 2K resolution), while the camera operator can concentrate on the main interface without interruption. For dual-independent display activation, you should set your monitor for “dual-view”, or whatever monitoring method makes each monitor it’s own independent display. This should be done in the video card hardware driver, not the Windows XP desktop settings, such as using the “extended my desktop onto second monitor” setting. Of course either of the two video outputs (VGA and HDMI) can be fed through an active video splitter. Generally, the VGA includes all of the viewfinder information while the HDMI is a display only output.
