Can I use a disk defragmentation program while using RVS 2010, RVS Lite 2011, RVS Pro 2011, or RSS Pro/Free 2011?

Yes and no. RVS and RSS do not allow you to defragment your hard disk drive while its System Safe (RVS 2010) or Virtual Mode (RVS/RSS 2011) feature is active as this could cause damage to your system files. When the virtual protection component is deactivated however, you can defragment your hard disks. This also applies to Solid State Drives and the use of TRIM. If your primary boot drive is an SSD, you should not use TRIM in automatic mode. For those using an SSD as a non-system drive and RVS Lite 2011 in multi-disk Virtual Mode, TRIM should be deactivated for those partitions that are being virtualized. Important tip! If you keep the virtual protection feature active at all times (always on), disk defragmentation will not be required as the only changes that would take place are within the virtual system and not the real disk drive.
